The Three Musketeers: The Game

Posted by James on November 4, 2009 under Three Musketeers | 3 Comments to Read

We recently released our massive project The Three Musketeers: The Game. It’s a role playing game that’s based on Alexander Dumas’ original novel. And when I say “based on”, I mean it. We went to great lengths to preserve the original story that Dumas wrote. After all, it’s a story that has stood the test of time, so why would we want to ruin it?

The player takes control of d’Artagnan and plays through the classic story. The story is about the young gentleman, d’Artagnan, who travels to Paris in hopes of becoming a Musketeer. He befriends the three Musketeers (Athos, Porthos, and Aramis) and has many adventures with them.

Lots more info available here.

Or you can just download the game.

I loved this game; time well spent, and gave me the opportunity to familiarise myself with a classic. What could be better? I enjoyed playing it a lot more than many big budget titles, and it was well worth the money. (It was also a good price, since I’m always pretty skint.) But I wasn’t really commenting to praise the game, so much as to add a well deserved “Woo Hoo!” to the comments below the post of it’s releaase… If only I’d been here when it was released. Anyway I was wondering what you were going to work on next? What exciting new game awaits?

Please make the sequel of the game to the sequel to the book, this encouraged me to read the well put novel.
